Once upon a time, Thomas and his brother Arthur had been best friends and roommates. That was, until his brother met Fern. They both fell madly for her, and pursued her, uh, passionately. Eventually, she chose Arthur and they got married and started a family and he moved out.
It may be soon (ahem, days), but Thomas decided to propose to Bethany under the mistletoe. He couldn't have Fern, but he could have a great life with Bethany.

She had her beau, Adam Wilson, move in. Only one problem, too many
cooks sim on the lot. We'll see how this plays out, since her offspring are also in the running to take on the 2nd generation.
